There's been a lot of upsets, but most of the carnage was caused by low-major conference members. AAC, MWC, A10, and WCC combined has 5 teams in the field. This group of conferences sent 11 teams to the tournament last season.

It’s crazy that a month ago I was concerned with where Creighton would get sent and if I could travel if it was close to now just hoping that we hear our name on Selection Sunday.

Ideally the BE has a separation between top 5 or 6 teams and the rest. Its shaping up that way, but hopefully either Nova or Seton Hall can play their way into the picture without cannibalizing the top.
