Is Nova going to be able to beat Oregon on Sunday?

Probably not. And I’m done betting on them too.

I really think the Big East is a league that requires head coaching experience. Look at what happened with Mullin and Ewing. I know Neptune coached at Fordham for a year but that’s not really enough. You are not going to replace Jay Wright with Kyle Neptune and think that you are going to stay on top. There is a some serious coaching experience in this league right now. You have Cooley and McDermott who have been coaching at this level for years. Miller, Matta, Smart, Anderson all have coached for years in power conferences. Hurley coached at Rhode Island which is a good program and had success there. The days of promoting assistants in this league or giving coaches their first real gig are long gone.

Yeah and not only that, but I think right now Nova is really playing shorthanded with Moore out. That and no point guard is a recipe for what we're seeing.

I get that Moore and Whitmore are out but they can't beat Portland with Slater, Daniels and Dixon? Also, why is Arch getting 30+ minutes a game. He has no ceiling whatsoever. Give the ball to Armstong for 30+ minutes (like we did with Nembhard last year), let him play through mistakes. His upside is so much more than Arch and if you have growing pains with Armstrong the result will be the same as it is now anyways (losing to Portland). Nova is my favorite non-Creighton Big East team, it sucks seeing them down so quick.

it's life after HOF coach. Uconn went thru that as well. Nova looks like they're still trying to play the same style of basketball but there's just something missing.

One thing is it's the least experienced team Nova has had in seemingly ages.... look at these 2 comparisons from Ken Pom:
1.95/168 vs 2.42/48 D-1 experience
48.4/130 vs 73.1/35 Minutes Continuity
it's number/rating. So this year instead of a top 50 returning experience team, it's a team in the mid 100's. In a year that a lot of other programs are really experienced.
