Is Holloway a 100% slam dunk still? or has he outkicked his coverage with Hall and looking for something even bigger?

1 thing I think favoring Seton Hall is that I think they're the only major school left needing a coach.

He played at Seton Hall and was an assistant coach for 8 years. He met his wife there. He, his wife and his daughter all graduated from SHU. He named his son after the building on campus he met his wife in. He's been quoted saying Seton Hall is his dream job.

Nothing's ever official until it is, but by all accounts this guy bleeds blue and this is where he wants to be. I'm not too worried about it.

All the major jobs are taken now anyways other than Seton Hall.

Just so funny to me that Shaheen already has tourney resume that'll be really tough for Willard to match at Maryland. I don't think he'll ever sniff elite 8 tbh. I am not even sure if Willard has recruiting advantage over Shaheen long term.

That's another clue to the job being locked up. If any of the programs with opens jobs both A: were interested in him, and B: thought they had any hope of getting him, they'd have held on hiring a new coach until they had a chance to talk to him.

Holloway was Willard's top recruiter when he was there, so I agree that individually Holloway is the better recruiter. Kevin's Willard's hiring David Cox and Tony Skinn though, which will be a strong staff that should be able to clean up DMV recruiting. I can definitely see Willard bringing a lot of talent to Maryland and ultimately being successful there.

No surprise, but nonetheless: Shaheen Holloway is expected to finalize terms in the coming days to become Seton Hall’s next head coach. He’ll be introduced no later than Wednesday.
A favorite son -- the favorite son -- is coming home.

Press conference introducing Holloway starts in 10 minutes. Looks like most if not all of his Saint Peter's players are in attendance. Very cool of them!
