The refs do their own elimination tournament for who gets to ref in the next round. I wonder if that awful technical call did O'Connell in. I shed no tears.

somewhat but saw 2/3 refs who reffed that UNC/Baylor game are reffing this weekend along with 2/3 of the ones who reffed Arizona/TCU.
UNC/Baylor- 7 Kipp Kissinger(South), 30 Brent Hampton(East)
Arizona/TCU- 1 Keith Kimble(Midwest), 8 Doug Shows(West)

Seems like Gonzaga could use a conference upgrade to better prepare for March. If only there was a league out there...

My critique of the Zags is that even in a historically great WCC conference, they're playing against YMCA looking athletes. That' going to screw up efficiency numbers. I do think they were probably a top 5 team this year, and last year, too, but we never really know who they are.

will say that one of their worst games was in the WCC this year- remember late they lost to St Mary's.

They didn't look great OOC (top 5 good but not unanimous best team good), played very few road games, and didn't look right in the 1st or 2nd round of the tourney. Signs were there...
