Now? What took them so long? Why wait until so many candidates are off the board to make your move?

A) Collier was in Greenville as a representative of the NCAA Selection Committee

B) Maybe candidates have expressed interest that were perhaps not considered before

C) Butler could never compete with football school money, so those candidates would have been swing and misses

D) No official word either direction, but where there is smoke...

Fair enough. Definitely get you on C, we're in the same boat. Just happened to get really lucky with timing and Holloway being a SHU guy with an interest in coming home.

This would be disappointing to me. Butler think they're brining Brad Stevens back? I mean, give Jordan a chance.

So if Butler does let Jordan go, who would be the replacement? I'd love to see them get Ron Hunter- he turned a terrible Tulane program into a decent team- they are #98 in Ken Pom- would be first time they've been that good since 2000- almost a 200 spot improvement in the 3 years

I mean, he's had 5 years now. 3 of them with losing records. 2 worst years since 2005.

To me, it's not just the record, but it's also how they looked-10 of the 19 losses this year by at least 15 points.

North Texas is also joining the AAC soon, which is interesting. Have there been any prior hires made by schools from teams that are soon-to-be-joining a conference?

I don't know that I've ever heard of one.
