To the victor go the spoils. Congrats to the Radnorites. Hurts like hell to lose this one.
(I had the "coronation of the new King" post finished and ready to publish online - shit!)
Thanks to all the Nova fans for their graciousness in victory - taking a page from Jay.
Thanks for the condolences posts from the rest of you.
However, as one who tends towards absolutes, I don't put stock in falling short - close
only counts in "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades". It'll hurt for a few days, then get set for the dance.
My Jays done good for being such a young team...However, One should always capitalize when presented the opportunity.
You can't count on such opportunities coming around again (see DePaul, see St. Johns, see Northwestern, see BC, etc.)
(this is why I still have grievances...If you can't win the 'Big Game"...hmmm? You can ask any Gonzaga, Butler, or Georgetown (1-3),
Mich (1-4), TOSU (1-4), or Kansas (3-6) fan about how it feels to come up short in the big game.
To the Villanova contingent: Chestrockwell, Gumbyddamnit, Novachap, MackNova, Kayako, and the rest....
Congratulations on extending the reign and another Banner. You done good!
Okay then Big East, let's go and do some damage in the Dance! Kumbaya...
