Is North Texas an at-large candidate? Had a nice Q1 win today.

They have to be getting really close you'd think. They have to be rooting for Wichita St who they beat on the road- right now the Shockers are 79 so really close to getting top 75 and Q1. maybe if they made the finals of CUSA and lost to UAB?

Yeah, that’s probably the minimum required for them. Since they’re the first team behind the last at-large, it’s tough to tell just how far behind they are.

It’s been a terrible day for WCC or MWC 4 bids scenario. If Oregon beats Zona tonight, it’s looking disastrous.

WCC I agree with you.

for MWC I really don't. the CSU loss hurts them- but they had a lot of wiggle room and a lot of teams behind them lost. San Diego St will be in still pretty decent shape- close enough. They still have 2 Q1 games left in Boise and Wyoming- albeit on the road. They'll continue to have 3 with SDSU being one of the first teams out. And no one in the last 4 in and probably not last 4 byes right now.

If we’re talking 3 bids, yeah I think mwc is much safer than wcc. Actually I hadn’t been checking but SDSU is about to bag a nice Q1 road win.

Really only team behind them that would impact them right now winning is Florida. Virginia too far back to have their Miami win pass them- and their schedule has only 1 shot left- home vs Duke that you know will be looking for payback on.

What is comical is a 13-7 team from ACC might actually miss the NCAA tourney. Don't think I ever thought that was possible.

4 bid MWC is very possible.

I think Colorado can finish 13-7 and miss the tourney as well. And we have Oklahoma which may get in at 6-12. Wasn’t it Trae Young’s Oklahoma team that got in with 6-12 record?

They might have- but I don't think this Oklahoma team would get in at 6-12. That would be 16-15 overall. Just don't think they'd have a shot there unless they made the Big 12 title game from the 1st round which would get them up to 19-16. could have to perhaps go thru Texas Tech and Baylor to do that.

Stever posted the OP on Friday morning, so I'm looking forward to seeing how many spots St. John's has improved after their win.
