Thru 43 seasons, we're the first Big East school to be at 20-2, and *not* be ranked in the Top-10.

I checked 1980 thru 86, while we were still building our conference brand. Then i ran out of energy.

If anyone remembers any other instance, please post.

You’re lucky. You don’t have to play in the toughest places, your big wins were while others best players were out, you have an awesome record and yet you get to bitch about not being respected. Cooley has to be loving the low ranking, he’s a master motivator with a veteran team that needs that chip on their shoulders. PC fans should be thrilled to be ranked so low.

Cooley privately has got to love it. Gets to play the disrespect card to the hilt. Especially here this week with 5 days between games. Gets to drill it in the guys heads all week long.

Lol, some truth to that motivation-wise, plus Georgetown *was* also playing without Johnny Davis. But i'd much rather be ranked at #3.

So St John's with a bit of an uptick today from 88 to 85 in the NET. All of a sudden they're within 10 of being top 75. Their best rating since the Pittsburgh disaster. It'd be huge if they could somehow get up to top 75.

I'm guessing part of why they had the uptick was actually Pittsburgh beating Florida St last night.

He didn't have UCONN or Xavier ranked last week so no surprise there.

Avg conference rankings:
1 Big 12 35.40 lw 1 35.10
2 Big Ten 56.64 lw 2 59.29
3 SEC 63.93 lw 3 64.07
4 Big East 66.91 lw 4 67.27
5 ACC 90.60 lw 6 91.33
6 P12 92.67 lw 5 91.00
7 AAC 104.64 lw 8 107.64
8 MWC 107.27 lw 7 107.55
9 WCC 134.60 lw 10 135.90
10 A10 136.14 lw 9 135.79
11 MVC 149.30 lw 11 147.90

So funny that ACC/P12 are closer to AAC/MWC than they are SEC/Big East right now.

Early ballot returns suggest Marquette will barely hang in and Xavier/UCONN will be out.
