After a breakout freshman season at UConn, Huskies point guard Paige Bueckers has landed her first name, image and likeness endorsement deal: a multiyear partnership with footwear and apparel marketplace platform StockX.

The reigning 2021 John Wooden Award winner -- the first freshman woman to win the annual award since it began in 1976 -- will become "the centerpiece" of StockX's upcoming focus on women's sports and basketball, according to a company spokesperson.

"My partnership with StockX is about equity and authenticity," Bueckers said. "It's about product I love and about shining a light on all the creatives that drive culture. I'm here to celebrate them and, together with StockX, invest in making sure women and women athletes are prioritized, elevated and recognized for their style and their leadership."

Launched in 2016, StockX features more than 125,000 items across its marketplace from over 500 brands. The company saw sales of items total $1.8 billion in 2020, up dramatically from $1 billion in 2019.

UConn women's basketball star Azzi Fudd inks partnership deal with Stephen Curry organization

SAN FRANCISCO -- Stephen Curry has made Azzi Fudd his Splash Sister.

I've actually coached against that girl before here in the DMV area. Her mom was one of the best players I've ever seen with such a great work ethic. Her mom tore her ACL her junior year in high school. As she was recovering she got to where she could start to do shooting some. Her HS coach gave her a ball. She brought it back and her coach complained that it was used outside. nope, she just had practiced so much that it wore the ball out. Her mom went from not much of an outside shooter to one of the best 3 point shooters around.

This is going to get ridiculous. For those who haven't been paying attention, Oklahoma freshman QB Caleb Williams entered the transfer portal after a stellar season. It sounds like he or his father have essentially announced his free agency in an effort to land NIL money. And here we go:

Former NFL player Charlie Batch just offered him a million bucks to transfer to his alma mater, Eastern Michigan.
Caleb Williams gets $1 million NIL offer to play at Eastern Michigan from ex-NFL QB Charlie Batch

Batch said GameAbove Capital, an investment firm he works with, would pay Williams $1 million for one season with the Eagles. Williams led a 21-point comeback Oct. 9 against rival Texas and took over as the Sooners' starter, passing for 1,912 yards, 21 touchdowns and four interceptions. He also rushed for 442 yards and six touchdowns.

Bill O'Brien the Alabama OC in foottball who used to coach with the Texans said the transfer portal is like NFL Free Agency with no rules. The NIL is the exact same thing.

I don't think Matt Stainbrook would have had to drive for Uber. Or, maybe he would have driven for them anyway and ended up inking a local deal with them to get on some billboards.

He's been in one of the Spanish leagues for a few years. Looks to be a highly efficient bench player, averaging high single digits scoring (had a couple double digit seasons a few years back) and dishing out over an assist per game despite being a bench dude. I imagine defense is what's holding him back.
