Needed a miracle to beat Pitt as well. Just not a good team, but the bubble this year will be full of teams like this with bad losses.

Temple just beat Vandy 72-68 in OT.

2 straight losses by Vandy to AAC teams.

Hopefully that settles down Dayton hype on this board.

Let’s see:

1. Was it 3 buy game losses - in a row?

2. A win against Miami - 120+ in NET at this point.

3. A Kansas team that didn’t take them seriously and ended up losing on a fluke shot.

Dayton is a joke.

Borrowing from Winston Churchill: Never have so many sweater vests been so delusional about such an unaccomplished program.

Dayton would get slaughtered in this conference.

Seriously, it kind of makes you admire SBU. The Bonnies do so much with such few natural advantages.

More you guys say this, more it sounds to me like X and Dayton should play once in a while
A couple seasons ago Holtmann was talking about a potential Ohio "Crossroads" event. I guess covid shelved the idea for the time being, but I'd like to see it happen as a college bb fan.

It’s sports, so considering the possibility of putting such an event together could easily end up with opposing conclusions from a couple of different vantage points. It sounds like an attractive event to put together on paper.

It begins to break down very quickly, if not completely, when considering that the Crosstown Shootout will always be protected. I cannot imagine that ever being wrapped up into another event, even this one. It is truly its own thing.

Regardless of Holtman’s statement, Ohio State has never demonstrated an interest in playing Xavier or UC, in particular (notwithstanding the fact they’ve done that over the last two seasons). Indiana can do this with four major programs. Ohio comes up one short in that department.

I don’t think you’ll see this being put together.
