IMO even bigger factor was it being Tech's first road game of the season. The stars aligned (except Providence PG going down with injury) for this win.

That was a grind, but really happy with the win.

8 minutes left in 1st half, we were down 27-13. Then we switched to a zone and Texas Tech was stumped. Big Ed Croswell grabbed some huge boards for put-backs and the whole team played gritty but not pretty ball, going in a 31-10 run.

Last 8 minutes the game was basically tied, but Reeves hit a huge 3, Durham hit a Cartwright-esque stepback from 12 feet out, and we hit some free throws.

The game didn't end til maybe 11:11pm EST, and with traffic we didn't get home til just after midnight. Great time, great crowd.

Texas Tech has a stud in Shannon but he sat with foul trouble much of the game.

Also , at the game i had no idea how many times that Hendrick's Gin commercial came on.

Also not having our extra point guard in Bynum is a big loss. We're down to Durham and Breed.

Well done Friars!! Great start to BE/B12 challenge. Would be great to win this challenge this year since the B12 is currently rated higher than the Big East….

Great win by PC! Glad to see PC getting some solid OOC performance unlike past years. That is what held them back previously. Friars will be really tough in conf play.

Nice Billyjack...

"team played gritty but not pretty ball"
So the Friars played their typical style of hoops. Nice win Friars/Ed.

Hmmm...They're playing well - can't overlook 'em anymore. This game & URI will be bellwhethers.
Could mean big trouble for the BEast...
