Chap and GITMO providing some off-season entertainment with their banter back and forth.

Kind of reminds of the classy way that the West Point Cadets and Naval Academy Midshipmen go at each other with spoof videos during the Army/Navy Game.

Maybe we should create a thread called Tasteful Zingers Society where we harpoon each other in the offseason. The standard for content would have to be funny without being asshole-centric.

You two already have something like this off to a good start.

Great idea Dash!

Reminds me of the "Rollout" signs and other antics back in the day and when the Big 5 was competitive. There were some awesome zingers all the way around.

Temple once had a mock funeral for the St Joe's Hawk (the Hawk will never die). Way back when, a guy named Chubby Cox played for Nova. Hawks fans killed it with "Villanova cheerleaders love chubby cox"...

I am sure Gumby could add a few of his favorites.

Grew up on the Big 5. Doubleheaders in the Palestra...when college basketball was king in the City of Brotherly Love. Recall being at one of those when Penn-St Joe’s played in the opener. Penn fans chanted and waived to the Hawk student section: “Villanova safety school!” The other two fan sections joined in. Was a tremendous atmosphere back in the day.

Of course Nova is a Penn safety school...those smart Ivy League kids knew the Nova dig would especially sting the Hawk faithful.

Of course here in the BE we have hoops safety schools. All those east coast recruits that Jay doesn’t want often go out to Omaha. **Cough-cough-Mo-cough-Watson-cough**. Bazinga!

Cosby-Roundtree's return is sketchy? Antoine has a knee issue? What's up in Radnor?

So you’re telling me we’re going to have to rely on a 5th year reigning BE POY and AA candidate and potential All BE 2G in our back court. Oh, the horror. :D
DCR is a good kid but I don’t think any Nova fans were expecting much from him either. Shame to see his body giving out on him.

Really a bummer about Antoine with yet another setback. Kid is snakebit. Good news us he does not need surgery. Hope he heals up@

College basketball's top 10 super seniors: Villanova's Collin Gillespie lead group back for bonus season - David Cobb, CBS Sports - September 24, 2021
With the 2021-22 season rapidly approaching, let's take a look at the 10 super seniors poised to make the biggest impact on the sport.

1. Collin Gillespie, Villanova

Villanova reached the Sweet 16 even after losing Gillespie late in the regular season to a torn MCL. With their veteran floor general back for a bonus season, the Wildcats are tied for the second-best national title odds in the nation at 12-1, per Caesars Sportsbook. Gillespie was a freshman on the 2018 national title team, has played in 118 games over his college career and will be in the running for All-American honors. He could prove to be the nation's top point guard, so long as he stays healthy.

10. Nate Watson, Providence

Watson enjoyed a breakout 2020-21 season, averaging 16.9 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in his first season as a full-time starter. The 6-foot-10 center figures to be the focal point of Providence's offense again this season as the Friars try to make it back to the NCAA Tournament.

Honorable Mention:

Jermaine Samuels (Villanova), Bryce Nze (Butler)

I read recently that Cosby-Roundtree has called it a career? Is this true? In the article they
downplayed his significance to the Cats. Poor form. I would imagine the kid as a good teammate
and a team player, especially given his history of "snakebite" injuries. Sorry to see his college
career end in this manner.

As for the Cats.

2021-22 Villanova Non-Conference Schedule

Tuesday, Nov. 9: vs. Mount St. Mary's (Finneran Pavilion)

Friday, Nov. 12: at UCLA
Tuesday, Nov. 16: vs. Howard (Finneran Pavilion) ??
Saturday, Nov. 20: vs. Tennessee (Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic) ??
Sunday, Nov. 21: vs. North Carolina/Purdue (Hall of Fame Tipoff Classic)
Sunday, Nov 28: at La Salle

Wednesday, Dec. 1: at Penn
Saturday, Dec. 4: vs. Saint Joseph's (Finneran Pavilion)
Tuesday, Dec. 7: vs. Syracuse (Jimmy V Classic) ??
Sunday, Dec. 12: at Baylor (BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle)
Wednesday, Dec. 29: vs. Temple (Finneran Pavilion)

A really great slate. If they run the gamut they'll be #1 heading to Omaha!

However, it's more likely they'll be 8-3 or 7-4 entering the BE conference slate.
Gonna be tough...coming off that heartbreaking loss at Baylor and into the fire -
getting surprisingly steamrolled @CHICO by Lil' Creighton. Tough way to open the conference.

 :o ;)

Excellent opportunity for the HU Bison, as they play Nova, Gtwn, Harvard, and ND this season. Coach Kenny Blakeney has built a very talented team.
Don't sleep on these Bison.

Bison are led by 2 Senior forwards in Nojel Eastern(P'due) and Sam Green (Drexel)(Transfers), Senior guard Kyle Foster, and former Juco, Jr guard Deven Richmond.
Howard built a stellar class in 2020 including Ctr Makur Maker #16/18-5star, PG Rajim Ali, Fwd Amir Rahmizad (Can), Fwd Jordan Wood (Tex), and others.
This should be a fun game to watch. git
