IIRC, it was the B1G that was putting out feelers for a partnership w/the BE.

If the B1G arrangement does not come to pass, perhaps a Big East/PAC 12 challenge could be in the works especially since Ackerman just came from the PAC 12 and Fox Sports' relationship with the PAC 12.

The only reason I wasn't really interested in it is because it would play second fiddle to the B1G-ACC challenge which already exists. Historically the challenges were 1-to1 (BE vs. SEC). Maybe we've fallen so far this is the best we can do, but I'd rather play the AAC personally, at least we wouldn't look so desperate.

Not sure how this is a step down, getting a Big Ten - Big East Challenge would be great. It has to be promoted as an event though, Big Ten home games shown on the Big Ten Network and the Big East home games on Fox Sports 1 and all games played during a one week period. The Big Ten is probably the second best conference in basketball behind the ACC so being associated with them is not desperate.

Jet I hope it's not viewed that way but we haven't seen a major conference have 2 challenges. I just don't want our challenge to look like the primer for the B1G-ACC challenge that's all.
