I think seton hall might be better without Powell, at least against CU. He was a volume shooter who never made much probably because of TyShon Alexander (who should have been BE POY) or at least DPOY. Totally ridiculous that he got jobbed of that honor.

Anyway, going to be tough sledding tonight for the Jays. Maybe things will start to click again because we haven’t played well of late and yet somehow managed to squeak out three close wins.

Never made much? What? Maybe if you only judge him on his post-concussion shooting (which to be fair, was when both Creighton games were played last year) but prior to that he was lights out.

As far as this year's game - I still think the Jays are just a bad match-up for SHU. There's a chance if SHU's threes are falling, but they always seem to get dragged into a run-and-gun 3pt shooting contest against CU and that's just not a style SHU is going to win.

Powell shot 39% from the floor and 30% from three last year (attempting 9 threes per game). He shot 26% in conference play. Plus he was a defensive liability. Probably the most overrated player I’ve seen in the league since I have been following.

And when healthy, he shot 41.3% from the floor and 39.8% from 3 (attempting 10 threes per game) as the focal point of his team's offense and the main guy opposing defenses plan for. The step back from his junior year was about his concussion and nothing else.

Ha, talk about disastrous defense. Looks like a complete no-show effort tonight.

How good is Damien Jefferson. He has probably been Creighton’s best player to date.

Should've been between Alexander and Bey.

So Xavier just won without hitting a three. That's the Xavier we know.

Creighton hammering Seton Hall right now. I feel like this might be the first game the Jays have put it all together.
