Great showing Jays.

2 centimeters less on the back of the rim and it would have dropped. No moral victories, but still a damn good showing and s game to build on.

thanks, Jays fans love the Big East- wished we would have pulled it out: but we belong! Hope we see them in then tournie !

Bill Self wasn’t happy that Creighton fans bought a huge numbers of the 2500 tickets available yesterday at Phog. And they made a lot of noise too. Reminded me some of the first trip to BET when creighton sold more tickets than any school had ever done or something like that.

Proximity alone should make this a regular series.

1. KU won't play away from home.

2. CU isn't year in and year out this good so it's not really to Creighton's benefit.

I don't know man, CU has had 3 different top 10 worthy squads in the last 5 seasons. Hard not to be bullish on that program. But yeah, Kansas won't wake up tomorrow and suddenly realize Creighton is a rival.

I feel like the Big East affiliation is all that Creighton needed to help us get over the hump. We should be good for a long time. Great fan support helps.

“It felt like an NCAA Tournament game,” Self said in a video call with reporters after KU’s 73-72 victory, “because there were obviously fans from both sides, call it like it is. Creighton brought 500, 700 fans. Even at 2,500 I thought it didn’t have the full homecourt (advantage).”

Yes, and when I was a Senior in HS to being a senior in college MU had 3/5 top 10 squads (plus actual tournament success) and a lot of good that did us for staying power. Is Creighton on an upward trajectory? 100% but are they going to be playing in the champions classic any time soon or get KU to play them neutrally in KC? Not a chance.
