So, I am I getting this right? Did the NCAA just grant ALL SENIORS an extra year of eligibility? This makes little sense to me and only makes an already complicated basketball landscape into a more unpredictable one.

If this is the case, I'm curious to hear who you guys think are good candidates to take advantage. Granted, all would want to pursue furthering their education but are scholarships guaranteed under this proposal?

As it would pertain to X, No chance on Scruggs but Jason Carter would consider this. We will need Senior leadership next year and I don't think pro ball is in his future. Maybe our 5th year Seniors would like to keep playing but are they eligible?

Yeah, I don’t get the logic. There’s a debate if players don’t get the chance to play at all. But even if a guy plays 10 games and then the season is cancelled, that should mark the end of the eligibility IMO.

On Nova’s side DCR and Samuels would probably be encouraged to move on as we have plenty of people to play those spots. But Colin G...that’s an interesting one. There’s no clear cut heir apparent to step into the PG role next year. All the candidates are more combo guards.

It's illogical really. I could understand granting immediate eligibility for transferring this year as a one time deal, but why does everyone who plays 25-30 games deserve an entire extra year of eligibility?

Coaches get put into a really difficult spot here. Player A - you can come back for another year if you want. Player B - good luck to you.

This is really stupid idea, ESPECIALLY if we play 25+ games, but IF this is really happening and logic is used, wouldn't it be logical to give everyone an extra year? Why just Seniors?

Where does it say just Seniors? My understanding is it's all players and I agree with the decision.

I agree it’s a good idea. In fact they should do this with students in general. All students should get a free year of HS and College and grade schools should have no grades because everyone doing remote is failing or dropping out.
