:(

I've always wondered why theyre so fast to cut swimming. Once you have a pool, overhead, outside of a coach and scholarships, has to be pretty low.

Great point. Not to mention that it one of the greatest health activities you could possibly pursue.

FL AD announced a $50 million revenue hit today.

Big Ten will reportedly announce football to start as soon as October 17 so they can get 8 games in and participate in CFP.

You are on to me Chap!

Seriously, respecting the need to be careful and to protect lives, can you imagine what has been going through the minds of B1G football players, especially the highly-rated ones, as they were put on the sideline while all this was getting hashed out, and with them watching other conferences, local high schools and the pros all playing football?

In the long run, the party most likely isn't over for college athletic budgets, but it probably is "over", or will be tempered with respect to "cash in, cash out" spending practices. So, perhaps no more "lampshade parties" in the big athletic departments anymore. Maybe that even means hold/downward pressure on coaching salaries. We'll see.

East Carolina just announced 20% pay cuts for football and men’s basketball coaches. Basically all coaches and department staff getting a 10% cut.

East Carolina AD Jon Gilbert: “The manner in which we are operating is not sustainable.”

Tis the story with any non Football-5 school stuck in a all-sports geographically incompetent conference. Glad we've rectified our situation.

Creighton will start the season without fans. Huge financial hit for the athletic program.
