I'll just put this here... early apologies to Jet, Git, Django, Omaha1 and the other Jays faithful.

How about since the league reconfigured 7 years ago? It might not look as bad for the Jays.

No worries Gumby and congrats, Creighton still has a lot of future potential and we’re well aware we have the weakest history, our NCAA tournament history is actually more painful than poll appearances.

Taking away this year from us will really be unfair and very painful. We need to start moving up the Big East ladder.

But, I'm afraid it won't happen until Ewing is gone. Their next hire is crucial. I hope they follow the path of my Huskies and make their next HC a mid-major riser who really buys into the tradition. Maybe like a Pikiell. They should spare no expense, even if it means mortgaging the short-term financial future like UConn did.

Are there G'Town fans on this board? I haven't really seen many chime in since I joined.

its not really Ewings fault all his players walked out on him when he had a borderline tournament team.

As the Greatest US President EVER (to toot his own horn) said: "It is what it is."

Nice post Django...well said.

No worries Gumby...it is what it is. The good t'ing though is that my Jays will be seen as more remarkable
as they accumulate more RS & BET champeenships without all of the lofty rankings and such.

It is what it is.

**Edit - Nova's won 10 of a possible 13. Though if anyone could finish in a 3 way tie for the rs title with themselves and themselves, it's Nova.**

I would say the best way to rank this is very simple: Trophies. Of which Nova's won 10 of a possible 15. The rest of us really need to pick it up.

Big East Trophy Rankings:

1. Villanova - 10
2. Seton Hall - 2
3. Creighton - 1
3. Xavier - 1
3. Providence -1
6. Butler - 0
6. Marquette - 0
6. St. John's - 0
6. Georgetown - 0
6. DePaul - 0
N/A. UConn

FIFY...

Big East Trophy Rankings:

1. Villanova - 10
2. Seton Hall - 2
3. Xavier - 1
3. Providence -1
3. Creighton - 1
6. Butler - 0
6. Marquette - 0
6. St. John's - 0
6. Georgetown - 0
6. DePaul - 0
N/A. UConn

Xavier and Providence didn't share a trophy. I ranked them higher.
Besides it will just accentuate the Jays rise as we TAKE our next 3-4 BE/BET champeenships!

Luv ya,  ;)

I ordered those 3 based on recency, but that works too.

Would be interesting to get a trophy count in all sports. Would Nova still be as dominant?

I know, rather I guess that we really don’t like to use the term “flag ship“ around here, but if ever there was an argument for naming Villanova the flag ship, this chart seals it. Not to mention the NC‘s.
