UConn becomes first FBS team to cancel football season due to corona virus.

Discuss.

Not that surprising given their schedulen s predicated on non-conference games and most leagues are going to league only schedule.

It's the correct decision considering the lack of opponents available and they'll probably actually save money now rather than lose a bunch. Do the coaches still get paid full salaries?

Just received confirmation from creighton:

The BIG EAST Conference decided this afternoon that it is postponing the fall sports season, and will be assessing opportunities for competition in spring of 2021. Our men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, and volleyball programs will be allowed to condition, practice, and meet together per NCAA, University, and local protocols and policies. This difficult decision, which does not affect the men’s and women’s basketball programs, was made after a long and thoughtful process, and is based on the safety and health of our student-athletes and our campus and wider communities.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.
