Figueroa entered his name in the transfer portal. That’s surprising.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

Wow... He waited so long to do it as well... Really hurts their chances to get someone of value to pick up the slack.

That’s the part that really annoys me. Kids should do what they need to do for their careers but SJU backed off a grad transfer less than 2 weeks ago because the roster was full. Also, why transfer to sit out a year unless he can get a waiver? Strange fact pattern.....

Even more telling that teams are actively recruiting NE kids saying they'll get an immediate waiver. Shady as ****.

I'm confident SJ can still get a transfer to come in this cycle. Kids are still entering every single day, with all the uncertainty. Anderson has a lot of youth coming in. If he can get them to play hard together (like he always has), SJ can still have a competitive season.

The loss of LJ is not a disaster. It will hurt to lose a senior, but the core of the team does not include him and the season was never going to turn on how well he played anyway. If it was Williams, Earlington or Roberts that was leaving? That might be a different story. Johnnies still should be a bubble team next year in the five -six spot in the league.

I'm hearing he entered the portal so late so he could enter it as a grad transfer, so we could have had Ray, but thought this punk was coming back, so we backed off on Ray.
Meanwhile, the whole time he knew he was leaving. I won't wish this punk well with his next school. He better go to where he's the 3rd or 4th best option, he isn't a goodtop option.

I'm not going to miss his chucks and misses.
