Quick basic question...
How do you post photos on this site?
For instance, say i took a Big East related photo on my phone
... how can i post that in a thread?

One way is to post it online on an image website like imgbb. Then use the link to post it on here.

I haven't done so in a while, but if you are logged in from your phone, when you are posting you can upload attachment (see button below) and then just select a photo from your library and it should work.

Lol, not surprising in my case... 52 year olds can be slow to adapt...

I'm old enough where i remember:
- when calculators were first introduced and could be bought by typical families... my father got access to one when i was 6 in 1974-- he taught HS math and the school bought them for the teachers to borrow.
- i was a junior in 1988 when my college started its first "computer lab"... 3 Mac computers and one printer for a student body of 3k... we would have to reserve computer time in 30 minute chunks, often to come into the lab at 2am. (note: this was not Providence College).
- i was 15 in 1983 when we got our first countertop microwave... before then we'd put a Howard Johnson's mac-and-cheese in the oven for 45 minutes before it was edible.

ok, i'm almost there...

i went to the Upload Attachment tab, clicked Documents, found a photo file... uploaded but it's huge...

the scale of the photo is freakin enormous... next question is how to reduce the size

Edit-- the first photo i post will be of the basketball court in my yard... the kids and i painted the court last Summer. In the last month, due to the shutdown, some diffetent people have been out for walks past my house. 2 days ago a couple were walking by and yelled over to us, and complimented our simple court design for one specific reason... and thought this site would get a kick out of it...
