I can see PC in as a 7/8/9 seed with a possible second round matchup (or whatever they call it now) against Dayton in Cleveland . Wouldn’t that be something. I know their fans harped on Cooley complaining about playing in Columbus but I would love it. PC is a very dangerous and battle tested team.

I agree, and I have great respect for the Friars and their great improvement as the season has progressed. Providence and Dayton have had a common opponent this season: Rhode Island. On December 7th Providence lost at Rhode Island 75-61. Last night, Dayton blew out Rhode Island 84-57 on their homecourt on ‘Seniors’ night in a game with an NCAA Tournament At-large bid awaiting the Rams if they had won.

To me, this suggests that Dayton would not be a good matchup for Providence.

There are 3 or 4 teams from the BE that match up well against Dayton.

As many of you know by now, I like collecting information – especially predictions – to which I can refer to later when the predictions are actualized and are either proven, disproven, or deemed to be partially correct.

In that spirit, I would respectfully request that you post the 3 or 4 teams from the BE that match up well against Dayton, as I may wish to revisit your reply in the future if circumstances so warrant.

An finally, I would request that you Xavier fans stop bringing up the Dayton Flyers on Big East game threads. The Flyers are NOT relevant to anything posted previously on this thread, and there is no legitimate reason to even mention the Dayton Flyers on a Big East game thread.

Yes, of course that is if PC and Xavier keep playing like they are. It’s not that far fetched, they both play well historically in the BET and 1-6 in this league right now is not much separation. SHU is the only team that really scares me and hopefully they end up on X’s side. Of course this is probably all complete malarkey but these two teams are both the toughest teams right now to play imo.
