If Georgetown is in 8th, they'd have that nasty 7pm Wednesday/noon Thursday combo. Is it possible? yeah. But is it likely? Probably not.

Short of winning out the RS, Georgetown's gonna need some help. They got one tonight with Texas beating WVU to probably stay as Q1 victory.

Texas was ranked going into the game at 75 so would need to get up to 50 to be a Q1 win.

Thought that was a road game for some reason.

Nah, was in the tournament in MSG I think.

Georgetown needs to worry about Oklahoma St. They're like #69 right now and are losing by 31 points to Kansas right now.

Only thing Georgetown needs to "worry" about is winning some damn games. if they finish 3-1 they can still get an at large big. anything less and they have work to do in New York

Pretty much totally agree. Either 3-1 regular season, or 2-2 regular season and then make the SF in the BET(likely out of the 8 seed). IF they lose in the QF after going 2-2, they're 18-15 and then, things like Oklahoma St would absolutely matter.

huge weekend for Providence. Not only their game with Nova which would be a clincher just about- but also some huge games for teams right near them on the bubble. UCLA with Arizona, Stanford with Colorado. Cincy with Houston.

Might also for Providence be their shot to avoid first 4. Right now, they are 3rd in, last in, and 3rd in with the 3 bracketologies. Saw on ESPN's one a brutal scenario right now- NC State, Michigan, and Auburn. Or Bracketville has it as Wichita St, BYU, and Duke. Palm has it as Rhode Island, Michigan St, and Auburn.

I don't look at the First Four all that negatively. Sucks if you lose, but it's a doable setup to grab 2 or possibly 3 tourney credits.

I actually agree. First Four teams have tended to do pretty well, although I'm not sure if the Big East has had a First Four team win a game before.
