I'll give you Villanova's game plan, we are gonna shoot a bunch of 3s. If we hit around 35% or more, we look great and win. If we hit more around 25% or below, it will get interesting. Pretty much the same as every other game we play in. Looking forward to it!

close to an elimination game tonight in DC.
Providence 14-12 @ Georgetown 15-10.

Providence has left after tonight Marquette, @ Villanova, Xavier, DePaul. With a loss, would have to split with Marquette and Nova to just enter the BET at 17-14. Would need 1 for sure if not 2 wins in the BET to make the tourney- and would be a top 6 seed so no easy games at all...
Georgetown has left after tonight @ DePaul, @ Marquette, Xavier, @ Creighton, and Villanova. Would need 3 wins to get into the BET at 18-13. And would probably need to win 1st rd BET game(on Wed) to make the tourney(quite possibly @ St Johns)

Here's the deal on that, are they settled for 3 off the bounce with no ball movement or are they open uncontested in rhythm 3's? One is much better than the other. Without much exception, I don't really care how many open in rhythm 3's off ball movement we take, if we get those we'll win 80% of the time.

This is why I chuckle every time someone suggests Nova takes too many 3s. If the ball movement generates 45 great looks, you take 45 great looks without question.

Rooting hard for Georgetown, but I think they're still without Mac and Yurt7.

BTW I don't even remember the last time Nova lost to DePaul. It's got to be one of the most ridiculous winning streak in college basketball.

You guys have my permission to shoot lights-out in Chicago, and then drop into Cincinnati on Saturday and go stone cold.

History on the line in Chicago tonight as DePaul has the chance to be the first team in NCAA history to start a season 12-1, and then follow that up by going 1-12 in the next 13 games.

Note: I have no idea if a team has ever gone 12-1 and then ended up 13-13. I'm too lazy to look it up. I can't imagine a team has ever fallen apart at the seams like this, and OMG, I just realized I need to start drinking now.

already first team to start 11-1 vs d1 teams and then follow up with 1-11 to end up at 12-12. So that's pretty special already!

Demon, have heart. Your team played so poorly in Omaha that they are bound to have a bounce back game. Keep drinking though, just in case!
