I have no intention of derailing this thread onto another topic, but Gonzaga, San Diego State, and Dayton are all getting a lot of ‘easy’ games in between their ‘tough’ games, during which the teams’ respective coaches are giving their starters longer breaks, their reserves more court time, and trying out different player combinations on the floor - all of which will help in the long run.

That's a fair point and the reason why I always advocate for rotation of 8 or more deep. Both 2006 (1 seed) and 2017 (1st overall) Nova teams were running on fumes by the time NCAAT started. It wouldn't crush me if Nova didn't make the BET Finals.

"not to derail this thread, but i really think the big east will flame out in the tournament because they're too battle tested and dayton will cruise to the title because they haven't played any high level opponents in months"

real big brained thinking going on here. this is why there've been so many mid major national champions in the last 50 years

Channel-surfing has led me to a few minutes of A10 basketball games over the course of this season.

Well, damn.

Dayton was unimpressive today only to be out-unimpressived by UMass. A10 kind of sucks.

Honest mistake... didn't mean to do it on purpose. X included above. Basically the same as everyone else.

So sensitive in Xville.

I will point it out only because you have a penchant for same......The saying is "rows to hoe" not "roads".

Hmmm, I'm beginning to get that ol'blue gin gimlet feeling. The undisputed leader having attitude issues? Nova behind us in the standings. Prov and X reeking havoc amongst the brethren (and we're done with both teams)?
"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...ev'ry where I go." Visions of sugarplums and Bluejay Champeenship banners building in the mix. Could it be...that I may finally have to quit knocking old Big Mac? Can he Finally win the Big East?
Say it ain't so!

I'd say it's wide open now between 3 teams. If Seton Hall wins it outright, they'll have earned it with victories over Nova & @Creighton.

It ain't over...the Hall still has opportunities to nosedive. ;)

SH still has games against: StJ, @Marquette, Nova, & @Cr8n.
Nova has: @Xavier, StJ, Prov, @Seton Hall, & @Gtwn.

Marquette and Nova derail the Hall. X or Prov shut down Nova. End of story.

I'll be surprised if anybody wins this league outright. I expect at least a 2-way and possibly a 3 way tie for the regular season title.

For Seton Hall, I'm hoping for a tie in which we lose (or in the case of a 3-way tie finish 2nd) in the tiebreaker. That way they still get a trophy but also get a 7PM start time on Thursday of the Big East Tournament rather than the noon start time the 1 seed gets.
