The standings alone may suggest the Hall is taking control, but that there's a big factor that they don't show - schedule. 6 of the Hall's last 8 games are against teams in that T-3 logjam or better, including 4 against Nova and Creighton, both of whom they haven't played yet. That's a schedule that can quickly pull the leader back into the pack and leave no less than 6 teams that still have a realistic shot at claiming the #1 seed for the BET. We could also very well end up with half the league ranked on Monday. Incredible.

After last night, Creighton probably won't be ranked....

If Seton Hall wins on Saturday, they're 3 up with 7 games to go. With wins over Nova, Butler, Marquette, and Providence already, so set up pretty well for any tiebreakers.

I think The Hall made this a bit less wide open, but the BET seeding is officially a "who knows". It looks like X and PC will fight for that coveted 6 seed.....WOW!

Big East Conference Scrollable Schedule with Calendar option – ESPN

This has been an absolutely amazing season for Big East fans, as any given day can produce an upset. The intensity of many of the conference games has already matched ‘tournament pitch’, and the post-season war at Madison Square Garden this March will be even more intense.

Not to be a downer, but after another five weeks of emotionally-draining, usually-close games against fellow Big East opponents, you gotta wonder if this will take its toll on the players by the time the NCAA Tournament tips off. I have no intention of derailing this thread onto another topic, but Gonzaga, San Diego State, and Dayton are all getting a lot of ‘easy’ games in between their ‘tough’ games, during which the teams’ respective coaches are giving their starters longer breaks, their reserves more court time, and trying out different player combinations on the floor - all of which will help in the long run.

No such luxury in the Big East this season.

Well, second place is wide open.
Nebraska by birth, Creighton by choice.

No doubt. After today, 3 teams sit at 7-4 with Xavier just 2 back of 2nd with 7 to play. Man, the tie breakers are going to be interesting when seeding the BET, especially if 10 wins ends up good enough for second place.

A little bit. Creighton's now the team with the most realistic chance to catch them thanks to still having 2 head to heads left. If SHU wins on Wednesday though, it'll be a lead that pretty much only the Mets could blow lol

This is the best the league has been since the 2010~2011 season when 11teams went dancing and every week you played anywhere from 3~5 ranked teams in a row. The fact that we have to play every one of these teams twice makes it a killer. We should never go past 11 members. League is tough as nails.

The league race got a heck of a lot more interesting. It’s of course still Seton Halls to lose but the Top 5 have varying difficulty in their schedules.

Seton Hall - 50/50 home away but at Marq, at Creighton and still have Butler and Nova at home
Creighton - 4 of 6 at home. At Marq and close with SH
Nova - 5 of 7 away from home (@Temple) but....only 1 vs the top half of the league.
Marq - easiest away schedule with 3 bottom NET teams on the road and get shots at Jays/Hall at home
Butler - really tough away games (@Hall,@Creigh,@X) but easier home games

The realist and prognosticator in me thinks
SH 14-4
Creighton 12-6
Nova 12-6
Marquette 12-6
Butler 11-7 or 10-8

Really really hoping Hall slips up (looking at you Providence) and they come to Omaha 1 up on us in the win column.
