Whoa baby. That escalated quickly. A lot will depend on how we fare in the dance but I like how you think.

Hate to be a buzz kill, but I sort of remember winning BOTH the RS and BET titles LAST YEAR. I'm concerned about this year, but next year is looking pretty promising. 8-)

That's exactly what I'm saying. Even if they don't win anything this year, I'm gonna want to see it happen again before I start talking about them losing their perch, and that doesn't seem likely at the moment.

My bad, read that too fast, mixed up what you were getting at. It's really sinking in how spoiled us Nova fans have gotten, where defending 17-6 & 22-9 seasons ranked top 20 for the most part as not that bad.

We should be pretty good. Z and Tyshon will probably test the NBA Waters but hopefully they come back and add in 7 footer Kalkbrenner whose arguably one of the better defenders in the 2020 class and a rim protector we might be a little salty...

Westy, Westy, my man.  Loving the enthusiasm. Out-gtmo'ing ol git himself. Creighton has NEVER been a pre-season top 10. Only been a AP preseason top anything in 3 seasons (2006-07 19th, 2012-13 16th, & 2016-17 22nd). Highest rankings ever in 2016-17 - reached as high as #7, (Mo Watson) before falling back. Let's not put the cart before the horse. Preseason Top 10...Creighton...  Lil' Creighton should be in the mix next season, and worthy of top 25 ranking, maybe more if we get lucky on the recruiting trail.

Jays SHOULD return everyone...but we'll see. Will we ever get a year out of Epperson? The Big 3 should return...unless Ty's dad thinks otherwise. Mahoney/Bishop will be better and a good support cast. Good core group and add Antwann Jones (Sitout transfer-Memphis), Frosh Ctr Kalkbrenner, maybe a Euro fwd, and who else...Walton (longshot)...Primo (prob 2021)?

However, I'm gonna stay in the here and now for the time being. ;) Beat da Pirates...Roll Damn Jays!

Nova doesn't have any seniors either, so it should be fun to see which team is rated higher preseason. I think it's a crapshoot after the two obvous teams. Maybe some combination of Xavier, Georgetown, Providence, Marquette, DePaul, or uconn can emerge as dark horse candidates. Should be a good season not unlike 2018 when the BE had two number 1 seeds in the tournament.

so much of how we'll look is dependent on the decisions of naji marshall and paul scruggs. i'm not particularly confident about either coming back. hope i'm wrong

I think the odds are decent of at least one coming back. Xavier will be a much more balanced team if at least one of them come back.

Nova has 3 nba players on the roster as of now. BA, JRE, Bey. (yes even with lack of PT BA is a 1st rd potential) I think one or two leaving is a possibility especially if Nova makes a run in the tourney.
