As an old-timer, I could do without ever seeing another head whiplash after a bump or a guy flailing to the court after shooting a three pointer. Not sure when these oversells became part of the game, but too many of the really good players beg for calls with this crap.

Powell also has a tendency to kick a leg out or jump into his defender on threes (I hate it, especially because he often doesn't get the call - and actually got called for an offensive foul on it a couple games ago - I'd rather him just take a straight shot without throwing himself off balance), but I do like that he fights through contact on his drives with no nonsense - and when he (often) hits the deck, he just gets up and hustles back on defense.

Trevon was the worst with the head snap thing. If he was on someone else’s team it would’ve driven me nuts

Horrendous night for MH probably lost us the game.

When anyone complains about people preferring Powell to howard, last nights game is a microcosm of why people think that

Played well will 15:44 then got elbowed on the head after a break away layup. Wondering if he's concussed or if it was a bad night and happened to coincide

I agree. On their best nights, Howard has a higher ceiling (at least in terms of scoring) but on their worst nights he also has a lower floor. Just a bit more of a tendency to force things and shoot his team out of a game when he's a bit off or really well defended.

Hopefully it's just a bad night. Never want to see someone hurt like that.

Tough 2nd H for Markus. I wondered also if he hit his head on that chair under the basket (why have someone sit that close to the hoop?). The biggest thing that struck me last night is the embarrassment of riches this conference has in the backcourt.
Powell
Howard
Kamar
Gillespie
McClung
Scruggs
Zegarowski
Duke
Heron
Charlie M

There’s an argument to be made that each of these 10 are the best players on their team and most irreplaceable. We are spoiled and I think strong backcourts usually lead to success in March.

Yeah I thought I heard something about he was supposed to come in and immediately dominate this league and lead X to an easy championship. Still waiting for him to start trying I guess.
