X has been hanging out just outside the top 25 recently, 27th or 28th. That included not moving up into the rankings after a 2-0 week that included a decisive road win over TCU. So, I don't really expect them to make it in this week when they lost on the road by 6 to #10 Nova (never mind that a top 25 team would expect to lose that game lol).

I think they'll pass up Colorado, who lost to Oregon State at home, but Washington might pass them after curb-stomping USC (even though they lost to UCLA at home earlier this week). Arizona ahead of them at #25 beat down ASU, so X isn't passing them. Wichita State beat up on a couple uninspiring opponents, but that will keep them in. Iowa lost to Penn State, but Penn State is also ranked and the game wasn't in College Station, PA, so maybe they won't be hit by that. Then you have Marquette, who got beat up on the road by Creighton before controlling a game at home against Villanova, so who knows what happens with them.

So, I expect to see X as the first or second team out.

BREAKING: Following wins over St. John's and Creighton, #Butler jumps from 11th to 6th in this week's @AP_Top25 poll.

It surpasses the Bulldogs' 8th rank on 2/18/08 for the highest in program history.

Didn't expect 29th, but I like the (probably accurate) joke by some Colorado fans that a lot of voters went to bed last night when Colorado was up double digits on Oregon State at home. That didn't turn out well for them.

Just saw that Xavier and Butler will have the exact same number of weeks in the Top 25 this century if XU isn't rated for another week.

That's pretty crazy, having the exact same number is quite a coincedence

Didn't know that about Butler, congrats! It's worth mentioning that the coaches has Seton Hall at #25. Marquette, X, Hall, and Creighton all have very doable path to be ranked next week, but they'll all probably go 1-1 and stay just outside...

Seton Hall is a certain top 25 next week, just a matter of if they can leap into the teens imo. Creighton should sneak, even before seeing Sunday's results. But the voters haven't been kind to Creighton this season so who knows.

They will punish us for losing to Nova, my guess is we stay the same, around 6 votes....

Finally we'll get back to 3 Top 25 teams, just in time for the Hall @ Johnnies MSG Fox game.

This is the first week that I think we'll be well represented in the poll. Starting Big East play with 9 teams RV was nice, but with only 2 ranked teams and neither being that high, it didn't help much with exposure.

I'll make some predictions tonight.
