I think the combination of schools not liking each other and the fanbases generally being big enough to have active forums of their own makes it unlikely for a conference board to succeed. If I was a Texas Tech, Baylor, TCU, Iowa State, or really any B12 fan I think I'd avoid Texas fans like the plague.

If I was a Providence, St. John’s, Seton Hall, Villanova, Georgetown, or really any BE fan I think I'd avoid UConn fans like the plague.

Very classy and humbled Texas Tech writer cedes the BE - B12 Battle and has some nice things to say about our physicality and 40-year history. Also alludes to their lack of conference cohesion thanks to the TexAsses profit hogging.

Still, the league that likes to consider itself the deepest basketball conference in the nation took its lumps at the hands of a conference that become famous for its members literally handing out bruises to their conference bunkmates for decades.
