Very true. #39 for Iowa.

BE is 9-10 right now vs KP top 50. Still have 13 games left there...
SH @ Iowa St, Maryland
Nova Kansas, UConn
Butler Florida, @ Baylor, vs Purdue
Xavier Cincy (also with @ 52 TCU)
Creighton Oklahoma
Providence vs Florida, Texas
SJ WV, vs Arizona

Still a lot of tough games. League projected by KP to go 8-5 in those 13 games (8-6 if you include Xavier/TCU).

To clarify, the Iowa win is also top 40 at this point. Also the BE has 9 total wins vs KP top 50.

Of course, why do you think 40 was his cutoff?

Come on now, top 40 is always the metric used. Not top 30 (Q1 home wins) or top 50 (Q1 neutral wins), only top 40. Using top 50 wouldn't be fair, because Iowa St is #41, Mississippi St #43, Texas #46, and UConn #50. Those 4 wins were on neutral courts and thus Q1, so it wouldn't be fair to include them since it'd make the Big East look too good.

Speaking of, I wonder what the conference's record is in Q1 games. Seems to be pretty good.

Exactly Hall. At this point does our boy think we’re not going to fact check him. Actually what is encouraging is every team is top 100 and 9 in the top 60 I think. Here the thing about a deep conference... with Butler and DePaul doing so well OOC it’ll just give the rest of us more opportunities for good wins in conference.

The problem is that yes while Butler/DePaul are doing so well- Providence and even Georgetown to some degree with the UNCG loss- aren't. The overall OOC record is going to wind up very similar to normal years. Not as bad as last year, but not as good as 2 years ago.

So we're somewhere between last year and a year where we had 6 teams in the Dance, 2 #1 seeds, the National Champ, and National POTY?

"The problem" is that you constantly move the goalposts out of reach. Being a "normal year" wouldn't be a bad thing. Doesn't matter if we win 2 Titles in 3 years, get multiple #1 seeds in the same year, send 7 teams to the Dance, win National POTY multiple times, arrange multiple P5 conference challenges, poach UConn, fight off ACC/B1G from MSG, have the highest attended conference tournament, etc etc.

2 years ago was an excellent year. Last year was an ok year. If we're somewhere between that, then it's still a great year. I also think it's exciting to see a team like DePaul making noise. Some of the best sports moments are seeing historically bad teams rise to the top, and the Big East has a very exciting story in DePaul. If your main criticism now is we're having a "normal year", then I'd say DePaul debunks that. DePaul is the biggest surprise in all of college basketball.

Yes. Make him stop. I would put him on "Ignore", but I have to login every time (because this board won't save my login information) to keep him there. And I am too lazy to do that, unless I want to post something.
Xavier will surprise. Never count them out of the Dance.
