If we can do it consistently we can play with anyone.
Yurtseven has to be smarter about the fouls though. But can't complain too much after such a great showing.
You're just a week removed from getting blown out by Penn State. Maybe, this is the team Georgetown will be throughout the season, as in up-and-down. Maybe, tonight was their coming out party. Maybe, tonight was just blip on the radar and the Penn State game is who'll they'll be against decent-to-good competition.
Actually, I thought Georgetown could win tonight, as there's something about Texas that doesn't impress me. Nevertheless, tonight was a good win, particularly from an optics standpoint.
I said if you ass. Hoyas played the penn state game like they were still in a closed door scrimmage. They played tonight like they were trying to win.
Played 11 players over 10 minutes against Penn state. Tonight only played 8 people that many minutes. They shortened the bench and were locked in defensively. If we play defense like that we can be good. If we don't we will be up and down again. We don't know yet what the team will be hence me saying if. but no reason to be negative after a performance like that.

XUP??? Is that you or did someone grab your phone to give props to nova? Lol, just kidding man. Tougher test tomorrow with Mississippi State. See you guys are up 13 now... good luck the rest of the tourney.

Hey man, why surprised? Show me where I posted anything NOT based on reality that can be considered bashing your team? I just got riled up by some arrogant jerks on a message board which did bash mine. It is amusing how this tickle fight got started, so for some stupid reason I will expend more energy on it.
I posted a comment on the “Nova still on top?” thread as to VU polling over XU. Even though X has returned almost all of the production from a team that played Nova to a virtual draw the last 3 games and pointed out that you guys lost the 2 ALL BE dudes that killed us! A very reasonable argument in the spirit of the thread. Next thing you know Gumby and his merry men, break out the “Mid Major” club and start wailing away. I took offense to it. NIT insults, really? It wasn’t that long ago that you guys were a staple in the NIT while X was making noise in the Big dance.
Obviously, you can only play in the conference you’re affiliated with...when we were in the A10 and played P6 teams OOC we took care of business on a regular basis. And by the time we were done in the A10 we had kicked ass and taken names. Fortunately conference realignment provided us with a major step up to High D1 joining the BEast.
On the other hand, I know you guys had your “uh oh” moment when most of the big boys bolted but you should be grateful that 3 quality programs were there to ease the pain. Yes, the Villanova juggernaut is off the chart. Going forward I think your recent dominance will greatly enhance the quality of ALL the teams in the league by association, but make no mistake, Xavier has done it’s share of heavy lifting.
