again... why did we have to have both games on at the same time?

I don't think most Big East fans cared much about the Xavier/Towson game other than Xavier fans. I believe most felt that would be a rout in Xavier's favor.

This Georgetown/Texas game is all but officially over. But it's over for all intent and purpose. A few more games like this one and Shaka Smart might be sent packing. There were whispers from Longhorn faithful that Smart was on the hot at the end of last season. The NIT run and championship may have bought him another season or two. He's been rather mediocre in his near five year stint at Texas.

oh i know we were the only ones it affected, just lamenting my plight. frankly, i don't know how shaka hasn't already been fired, but they'll be 4-1 with a win over purdue after this, no reason to hit the panic button.

ESPN announcers just said “The Big East Top to Bottom Could Be The Best Conference In The Country” all of them pumping up the Beast tonight, thanks to GTown win and now that X won a possible match up with UCONN in Charleston is getting pumped up! Great for our next media contract negotiations... I think either the announcers want jobs at FS1 or ESPN wants its daddy back.

Yurtseven has to be smarter about the fouls though. But can't complain too much after such a great showing.

Ok time to root for UConn. They seem similar to Georgetown with some head scratching wins/losses.
