You want to talk about disappointment? Check out the New Big East’s performance in March. You guys are ranked, and you need to beat F’ing Missouri in OT. Not exactly earth shattering either. Missouri is an NIT team at best.

Sure many others had some nice regular seasons...few nice wins here and there to make national headlines. But sick and tired of all the other teams going out immediately in March. It makes us look weak as hell. PC, SHU, Marquette, etc. need to get to the next level. Never thought I'd say this, but I don't think PC, SHU, Marquette, or G'Town will get any better than they have been under their current coaches. Cooley is a great guy and very very likeable...and he recruits well. But he just does not know how to win the big games or go deep in March. No clue.

I think Willard and this Seton Hall team are capable of making the second weekend. Hopefully Anderson can get the Johnnies to a couple wins as well in march

The second weekend? You mean the furthest Xavier has ever been in the tournament? What’s the word that describes that?
ChestRockwell85 wrote:Well if your coach keeps recruiting the way he does, I don’t see you guys being disappointed for too much longer.
MullinMayhem wrote:Despite a great game overall, results matter. No one remembers how close the game was. Seton Hall needed to win that one for the conference and for them to have any chance at getting a seed to make a deep run. They will make tourney as an 8 or 9 seed, lose the game then throw their hands up and say, "well...it was a tough matchup that's all". PC and SHU get so close but never get over the hump. Same with Marquette you could argue. My Johnnies had no coach and no clue. Georgetown sucks and Ewing needs to go. Creighton can't shake injury bug. This went from a very promising year to a very average year fast. Let's hope we get some big OOC wins to offset the awful Gavitt Games which we lost again.
