Busy week for the BEast against the Football 5. While most are Gavitt Games, there is also Xavier taking on Missouri and Quette taking on their in-state rival Wisconsin on Sunday. The Johnnies and Xavier are sitting out the Gavitt this year and St. John's joins the party next week against Arizona State. But first up, the DePaul Blue Demons take on Iowa.

The Blue Demons crush the Hawkeyes in Iowa to grab the first win against the F5 this season and put the BEast up 1-0 in the Gavitt Games. Three more tomorrow with the Jays, X-Men and the Dogs up.

A split in the Gavitts as the Jays fall in Ann Arbor but the Dogs chase the Gophers out of Hinkle. And in between, the Musketeers slay the Tigers of the SEC in the Queen City. Three more battles with the B1G tomorrow.

A bizarre night in the Big East. Nova, Quette and the Friars all start out giving up big leads. Nova winds up getting blown out, the Friars come back but can't make it all the way, and Marquette comes back from 18 down to win by double digits. The Gavitts are tied up with two to play. Hoyas and Pirates up tomorrow to close it out. Would love to see Powell take the court.

A Big Ten Sweep of the final games to honor the great Dave Gavitt. The Hoyas fall to the Nittany Lions and Seton Hall falls short against Michigan State in what was the best of these games despite the loss. We have a big slate ahead to make up some ground. Five games this week with the Hoyas playing two of them. Marquette takes on it's second Big Ten opponent of the week, and our first games against the ACC, Big XII and Pac 12 will take place. The Johnnies will join the F5 party next Saturday and may have a game with Virginia the following day. The schedule will be updated as teams go through holiday tournaments and advance and play F5 teams.
