Well that certainly sucks. Sorry for the bad news CU faithful. Next man up. Mac's got to spread 'em out and fire. He's got the horses to score 80 per game. What is most important without that rim protector in the middle is to pressure the crap out of the ball to deny post feeds and get the other bigs into as many pick and roll switches as possible. No need to write off the season; plenty of time to reinvent yourselves and take advantage of what you do have. TA & MB need to try to become the Splash brothers--midwest edition. Fire at will gents!

Yes, I love our backcourt but they can only take you so far. You've gotta have good bigs especially in a league like this. If (by an act of God) they do make it, it'll be a first round blowout like always. Some people have said "next year was supposed to be the special year anyway." On the surface that looks true as Mintz and Jones are the only seniors and the new got Kalkbrenner coming in and Antwann Jones becomes eligible.

No. I can't even get excited for next year because I know someone at some point will get hurt. Never ever get excited ever again, Jays fans. Just never get your hopes up.

I sure hope I eat some crow this season.

Luvin' it. Back away from the ledge and drop your panic and your pill vial. It's not as bad as you think. Ahh, the smell of panic and chaos in the wind. Loving it.

Jays will adapt and overcome. The preseason is not the time to abandon ship...Jesus! gotta luv my CU brethren. :o ;)

Oh, about the bird. Parboil for 20 mins to get the grease out. Don't forget to remove the head. Then slow roast for 30 Mins @350, basting with an orange-cranberry glaze. Delish!

Texted coach Huss. No more rabbits in his hat, Kelvin was his last. My guys gonna have to tough it out.
We'll get to see what they are made of. Go Jays!

PS: i got Poppin Fresh in the BE fantasy league draft. Go figure? Will he be part of the rotation? Got JRE too.

Hey Gtmo... you will be fine with JRE... a real stat stuffer.

Honestly, not sure if Dixon will be aregular in the rotation. Seems like a no brainer, but jay historically doesnt go more than 7/8. Gotta figure when Antoine gets back, Moore moves to 6th man and C-roundtree will see a lot of time rotating with Bey, Samuels, JRE and Swider on the frontline. So, tbd. Would love to see him play, just a beast underneath. Gonna battle Slater for limited minutes is my guess (or red shirt?).

Now word is Mintz is out 6-8 weeks with high ankle sprain (some have said torn ligaments in his ankle, but I don't know if that's accurate).

Good grief. I'm going to tell my bookie that I'll be betting the overs on every Creighton game this year.

College Sports Madness is winding down their ranks of the Top 140 teams. They have done one team a day (been fun to watch it)..

https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/me ... 4-previews

As the teams are announced, they also drop them in a bracket:

https://www.collegesportsmadness.com/me ... acketology

BE is now done.

Here are their rankings:

#6 Nova
#19 Hall
#23 X
#27 Marq
#33 Creighton
#47 Hoyas
#58 Friars
#77 Butler
#110 SJU
NR Demons

Nova too high for beginning of year IMO, may get there by March...

Is the BE fantasy league still open and looking for players?

Fantasy league is full up at 8 teams and already had the player draft.

Real tough breaks for Creighton going back to Watson I believe? I remember one of their very good guards going down a few years ago when they had legit Sweet 16 or better potential. Now a big and Mintz? Jeez. Sorry guys.
