Powell's a dirty player to. He got away with BS practically assaulting Sacar Anim when we played Hall last year the second time.
So I guess you also consider every MU player who ever picked up a flagrant 1 a dirty player too, right? Good for Anim, his entire job in that game was to bait Powell and he eventually succeeded got a reaction out of him.
But if that's where we want to go, at least Powell didn't cause 2 of his teammates to transfer.

Not trying to take sides but ouch! Hall has a point. Marquette is going to be very good this year but if those 2 stuck around they could have been special. Obviously no inside information to what goes on at Marquette but it seems Howard definitely played a role in those 2 transferring. Obviously there was a problem with team chemistry and that is a red flag as far as I'm concerned. Again, would take Powell over Howard and this is coming from a guy who watched Villanova lose to Seton Hall in Jersey last year and trust me when I tell you that Powell was talking a PLETHORA of shit all game. Fired me up but love the way the guy competes.

Joey was the cause of the transfer not Howard. You have an immature kid with a sensitive side and huge ego, a brother who's in a bad position of defending his younger brother when getting called out for bad D and idiotic turnovers. Also no the reason it's dirty is because he knew it'd take Anim out of the game, play physical and get back but an elbow to the face is dirty as hell and you guys got home cooking by them calling the co foul on us as well.

2nd team- Alexander, Heron, Scruggs, Reed, Watson.
In the mix- The G-Town 4, LJ, Ballock, Jones, Gillespie and the obvious blue chip freshman
Don't forget, Big East actually names six "first teamers". The POY and then 5 on the first-team.
It will be interesting to see how the Howard-Powell voting shakes out.
How will it be interesting? Howard's the reigning BE POY, a returning first team AA, A preseason POY candidate, and has been on All big east teams his whole career. Powell had a sudden run to First team last year.
Any coach that votes Powell over Howard at this point is a lunatic
