Nova still on Top?

Have any neutral parties picked X to win the Big East? I've seen a bunch of picks for Nova and SHU plus 1 for PC but that's all I can recall at the moment.

You guys must've lost it over that Andy Katz video picking you guys 5th lol

I didn't see it, but andy did pick us 9th last year, so by the transitive property, andy is picking us to win the league

Now, having said all that, someone explain how VU is ranked over X? You’ve always just MASSACRED us from distance with multiple snipers but you’ll need more than Gillespie for that to continue. And your freshman must be pre-anointed superstars because if not, Gillespie, Bey, Samuels, Swider, Roundtree not that intimidating.

All of these posts happened in the day or two leading up to Xusandy's post in this thread--which I will agree does not seem provoking in an of itself. My apologies to XUSandy...not a bad point to debate at all. But when grouped with the others over 3 or 4 days, it sure seemed that a certain fan base was trying to pick a fight.

They succeeded.

All good. I have a lot of respect for X as a program and their team this year. No one who knows college BB would sleep on them. I know that JW and crew will have to be ready for a fight.

Glad to see the collective Kumbaya singing has seemed to leave HLOH. Let's get it on!

What's the difference? His teams are great when they're flying under the radar but have struggled with expectations, you'll get no argument from me there. Even mid season, they start strong and crack the top 25, then immediately tank for about a month. And then, when everyone's left them for dead, they finish with a stellar last 2 weeks to somehow end up safely in the tourney field. It's been pretty much the same story 4 years running...

So for everyone who has us on the schedule in February - congrats on your win. Everyone else? quit your whining.

Eggsavier of Ohio really got under Nova fans’ skin. Considering the track record, which I think includes a 26 -5 record head to head, that’s actually funny. X is is irrelevant. They are stepping stone university. Yet somehow they chirp and chirp and chirp. Their fans are like annoying gnats. X still pounds their chest at one regular season title. They actually cut the nets for it when they clinched a tie. Was kind of sad to watch in a pathetic way. That title has an asterisks if there ever was one. They hang sweet 16 banners. For real, they hang em like final 4s. Bc they have never been to one I guess; I don’t know. I guess we are supposed to be so impressed by their talent that lost in early rounds of NIT? I’ve never seen more arrogance from a program that in the grand scheme of things, has accomplished next to nothing. But it exists with their fan base. I did see them in a top 5 list of hated teams/fans. Along with Kentucky duke Kansas. That’s saying something from a program that has done nothing. I guess when their city’s pro sports team are beyond pathetic, this is what we get. Very sad but pretty funny too.
