2019-20 Predictions

The home for Big East hoops

Aw guys, shucks. Little Creighton is right where we're s'posed to be...a middlin' major. With the possibility of a new contract we should have the funds to spend more on hoops (new coach perhaps? ).
until then my Jays should take a couple of pages out of the Butler and Xavier books and learn to over achieve for the bucks already spent.

MVC?? One thing historically, never underestimate ol' CU. We've been doing more with less for decades now. Underestimate us at your own risk. We'll be in the top half mix. ;)

Until we can win championships in the Big East and get to the Final Four, Creighton belongs in the MVC.

Let's not go that far. Creighton is a great school with a very solid hoops program that is a net positive contributor to the Big East.

Our fanbase is just as devoted, just as large, almost identical to Xavier's. X has risen to new heights, just as they should have, by joining the Big East. Creighton has not. We have not taken advantage of being in a power conference.

We do have patience though, right? Generally the entire fan base is giving Mac the next two years to break through. Patience is not always a good thing for a fanbase to have though. I wish the people in charge were a bit angrier. We shall see.

Creighton is the premier program not only in a city nearly the size of Cincy but the entire state, as well as states north and west. We already have 12 percent of our undergrads from Colorado, yet we only had one recruit (4-star Ronnie Harrell who went back to the Summit and Denver for his senior year). X has gone through a coaching change but still lands back to back top 25 recruiting classes while competing with a dozen similiar programs in your general vicinity. Not sure what the hell is going on with that.

1.) Travis is a great recruiter 2.) we have won relentlessly for 35 years straight basically. 37 consecutive years without a losing conference record. I have to imagine recruits trust that. Plus those sweet sixteens, elite eights and 1 and 2 seeds in recent history really help.

Also, I’m pretty sure the metro population of cincy is greater than the entire state of Nebraska. More than double that of Omaha.

Creighton definitely represents in Denver. They’re behind CU, CSU, Nebraska, Texas, Ohio state, and not much else. Oh. WVU too

Ha ha ha.

Creighton is the western outlier JUST INSIDE the east west dividing line of the US. It seems there must be a lot of players in the West who would love to play Georgetown and Villanova but still want be closer to home. Even Cali kids. Our student body already reflects that, we have an east coast vibe at Creighton

Not knocking Creighton or Omaha here but based on DMA ranking Omaha is not nearly the size of Cincy, it's 405,260 get it to nearly the size of Dayton Cincinnati is over double that with 850,030 roughly the size of Milwaukee. Side note, I didn't realize Providence was as small of a media market as it is.
