Finally, you may want to consider another possibility when it comes to fan reaction to your posts around here . You seriously aren't getting under anyone's skin. It's actually the other way around. Easy trigger , your the troll. Django started this thread with a Question to Dayton Fans. I have and you can go check never posted on this board. MY first response gives my answer to his question. The haters them jumped in , calling us cryers and other negative stuff about UD. The smart people on the board who want a an even better conference have given posts on why and why not UD. Rant and rave all you want. Dayton is about to have a great year and you will be a part of it every step of the way. And the same folks who say UD will never get in, go review there posts about UConn and Expansion. They got it dead wrong and about to be wrong again. I will only stay on this thread and engage in good debate over the original question in the debate. If you don’t like it give good reasons , you don’t have to demean our Great School. Now if you want to keep taking shots at UD or my posts, which lol get so far under your thin skins by all means continue. In a couple of years we will all be one happy family and families argue!!! See ya in March....we’ll maybe a few of you.

Would you really want the flagship school of the BE to be a football first school? I don’t see any ms dropping football since they all actually get real TV money unlike UConn

Notre Dame would be the only reason for any further expansion. They fit the conference template perfectly with location and tradition. I have a feeling powerful ACC football programs like F St and Clemson will eventually have enough of their “independent status”.....demand the Irish schedule 8 conference games like everybody else and share more of their massive football revenue. The Irish will fail to capitulate and hello BEast.

As far as having a football 1st school becoming a perceived flag ship, I see no reason that would detract from the Big East BBall image. In fact, I think most would agree it would only enhance it. They are, after all, the most famous Catholic university in the world.

ND is going to elevate whatever conference they are in due to what you mentioned. It would just seem worrisome to me that like the old BE alignment they’d always be one foot in and one foot out due to football. Maybe they stay for 20 years and it’s worth it. Maybe they jump ship at 2 years making BE look “bad”. Whatever bad may be
