Andy Katz tweeted that this needed to be done before the new ESPN deal went into effect so I assume there is some kind of increased buyout or quasi-GOR. Could complicate further attempts to poach the AAC and maybe push up expansion discussions of the A-10 schools before they are poached into the AAC.

I didn't really believe it since I've never heard of sportsdesk, but that sounds like a near confirmation. Just want to say.....

If we're going 11 teams, stay with 18 game schedule.

The whole idea of this is to go to 20 conference games.

Yes. You will be getting rid of 20 cupcake non-conference games and adding 20 more conference games. That inventory is great for FOX/FS1 & CBS/CBSSN.

i highly doubt any school in the conference has any interest in adding schools from the a-10

VCU would probably be the natural fit there, or possibly UD, although both of those would have the risk of jumping to us if we ever decided to expand further (I'm guessing that would be highly unlikely, although with our private school club being broken, if VCU went on a few runs they'd probably be next up if Georgetown let them in).

If Xavier doesn't like Dayton in the BE, I'd imagine Cinci feels similarly. I think the best option for them is an all-sports CUSA school.

Yeah, UC definitely won’t go for that, and I don’t blame them at all. The AAC is still a step above the A-10, so why help Dayton in your backyard when someone like VCU will 100% jump at the opportunity?

I know money drives everything these days but I’m bummed about UConn being added, although if you were forced to add another school, at least they’re an original.

I’m just dreading my annual trip to the BET. It’s been so pleasant since Syracuse and UConn left. Now we’ll have to deal with their obnoxious fans.
