St. John's is hiring Northwester Florida State JUCO coach Steve Demeo to complete Mike Anderson's staff, according to sources. #sjubb

Good start. I think Anderson needs to do what Mullin struggled with. Start stocking the program with 3-4 year players. Get 3 and 4 star kids who will stick around and develop. Use transfers periodically and strategically but not as the primary way to build the program. Build a culture. Cooley has done it at PC, Willard at SHU, Ewing at G'town. Put a line in the sand that defines your culture and look for young kids who will buy in and become studs by year 3-4.

Couldn’t agree more Gumby. The most frustrating thing for me was the heavy reliance on transfers. Not surprising since our only recruiter specialized in that area. We did get some great guys via transfer but that’s not how you build and sustain a program.

Which one of you Johnies fans decide to show up to NBA GAME 6 with the St. John's jersey???

I caught it moments ago... behind the basket.

Good to see Johnies fans out in Cali
Stony Brook Red, Connecticut Blue, and Big East basketball!
