Interesting that you assumed I was talking about you but, okay, you're a dumbass and I am a douche (particularly when it comes to dealing with ignorance...I have zero patience for it and have exhibited same).

I'll be honest, when Creighton was in the MVC I had no real idea of where they were.... But once they were moving to the Big East, definitely found out about where they were....

Now that they're in the Big East, it's a lot tougher to not know where they are if that makes sense for casual fans. Big East gets a lot more coverage than the MVC ever did obviously.

I do think for the College World Series- I do agree that it's always referred to as hosted by Omaha. Never any mention of Creighton in the admittedly limited time that I watch the College World Series.

Just to take this to the extreme, I’ve been to Nebraska, my daughter almost went to Creighton for Medical School but frankly if I asked 25 of my Ohio St friends where Creighton was located I’m not sure they could name the state or conference they compete.

I've been to Omaha, ok town, married a gal from there. So I've actually been quite a bit, underrated food scene.

The College Worlds series is BEYOND REPROACH. It is a sporting experience that every baseball/college sports fan should experience at least one. Whether or not your team ends up ever getting there.

Also, that's another, albeit minor, reason SLU should get into the Big East, our baseball team would win the Conference Title year in and year out.

Prebilliken – If you’re going to boast about Saint Louis Baseball on the Big East Basketball message board, try to keep it real.

Billikens are currently 15-20, with an RPI of 203.

Although baseball has not been the Big East's calling card, Creighton (RPI of 19) St. Johns (76) and Xavier (77) all have substantially better teams this year. Creighton took a 2 game series from SLU in St. Louis this year.

So would this be a "year in" or a "year out?"

I do like SLU and its fans. If the BE ever expands, SLU is my #1 choice. However, someone from St. Louis calling Omaha an ok town? That's rich. Other than the Arch Madness first weekend of each March (before Creighton and Wichita State's 15,000 fans went away) and the strip joints across the river in East St. Louis (so I have heard from friends ;) ), I can't think of any reason to visit. I guess also the Arch is a must see once, so you do have that. But our zoo runs circles around yours. Omaha has less than a third the population, but a more vibrant music scene. Heck, our downtown has more going on than downtown St. Louis, and that's not saying a heck of a lot. Union Station was kind of cool 25 years ago. Now, its half empty, other than a couple of memorabilia shops and the fudge factory, if its still open.
