St. John's new 3 point threat

In a scrimmage in Italy , Max Hooper made 10 -3 pointers in 13 attempts. This guy can flat out shoot 3 pointers and if he can consistently do it, St. John's will be in the top 10 with the lineup they have. He led that talented team with 31 points.

Check out the You Tube video showing Max Hooper shooting 109 -3 pointers in 5 minutes. Unbelievable !!!!!, I thought they were showing the same shot again and again but he was actually shooting again and again .

Could be dangerous...if he does what he is doing now when the season starts then he will be very dangerous. If not, he will be another Marco from last year.

St. John's is loaded. I'm seeing them as a top 4 team in the Big East.

Saw them play in the NIT. They are very athletic but not exactly a basketball-ballet in their style.

I would expect that being a fan of that team can be rather maddening with flashes of brilliance wrapped around flashes of suckitude.

The Johnnies had a very young team last year and will still be a bit young this year, but the talent is there.

They lost their Leading scorer D'Angelo Harrison and his 3 point shot down the stretch when they had a chance to make the NCAA. This year they'll be a year older and they'll Have NBA ready Orlando Sanchez ( many consider him more talented then Big East Rookie of the Year Sampson ) and #23 prospect Jordon. Then add God's Gift into the mix with Obekpa and solid 3 point shooting from Hooper and SJU will be unbelievable. D'Angelo Harrison probably would have won Big East Rookie of the year 2 years ago if his teamate Moe Harkless hadn't won . He was a first round NBA draft pick. This team is a Syracuse type team with many weapons.

SJU87 I hope you're right but one game against an unknown Italian team does not suddenly turn St. John's into a Syracuse type team. They lost pretty badly last week to a team from France during their trip. Again, I hope you end up being right about them but lets wait and see how they fare in the Big East.
