You may counter with Bey, but he's exactly same player now as he was in November. The weak Big East masked most of the problems all season, as I doubt we win even 9 games in the big ten.

Yea you guys got nothing from quinerly, swider, and slater. all top 50 guys. but they're freshmen and you can't expect too much from them. i think the biggest problem is that your sophomore class isn't very good. roundtree downright stinks, samuels doesn't seem comfortable/assertive enough, and gillespie just isn't all that talented. and of course not having any juniors at all leaves a hole in the roster.

actually, i take that back a little harsh on the grades, not having any juniors is the biggest problem.

DCR is still an ideal 2nd or 3rd big with big heart...
Samuels started off slow but he could be a decent starter in his jr and sr years. You need those guys on the roster.
Unfortunately Jay thinks Gillespie is the 2nd coming of Arch. It doesn't take long to realize that he's a good backup combo guard, but I get this sick feeling in the stomach that he's our starting PG the next 2 years. If I am Jeremy Roach, there's no chance I'd risk getting benched like JQ if I could just head to Kentucky instead.

You're right, if Jay treats our soph class like he did Booth and Paschall, we'll be in for another disappointing season. Here's hoping Jay isn't that out of touch. It'll be interesting next season, as top 3 or 4 talents on the roster will all be freshmen.

I think you might be looking at another season like this one next year, maybe sweet sixteen, and will be back to a title contender in two years with more roster continuity.

I don't even care if its a Big East representative or not. I just hate not seeing a Northeast team (I consider north of DC Northeast) in the S16. Its bad for the region. I hate to think that someday CBB in the northeast can end up being as bad as CFB. Nova has done a great job carrying the banner so I cannot blame them.

It's the other major schools that haven't pulled their weight much - St. Johns, Providence, Seton Hall, Georgetown, Connecticut, Boston College, even Syracuse at times.

That was supposed to be this season in preparation for a 40-0 2021 campaign... lol

Your projection is quite optimistic, but reasonable. Just never know in college bball... I just hope our players and coaching staff comes back with vengeance.

I didn't realize we were the last NE school left, although I don't know if Syracuse is more northeast than Buffalo. The Beast is dead!

Of the twenty-two schools that are or have been members of the Big East Conference, Virginia Tech is the only one remaining in the tournament. Incredible.

Yeah I don't count buffalo. I don't know if I should I count Syracuse. Syracuse feels more Northeast. I tend to associate Buffalo with the the great lakes region/midwest
