Do you think that when DePaul hired Shane Heirman out of La Lumiere, they ever imagined Pantelis Xidias to be their most well-known La Lumiere basketball product (and not Brian Bowen, Tyger Campbell and/or Jaren Jackson)?

I know that, unfortunately, Markese Jacobs had a knee injury in January (https://www.suntimeshighschoolsports.com/2019/01/25/markese-jacobs-partially-tears-acl-will-six-eight-months/), so who knows what to expect from his next year. Carte'Are Gordon looked solid while at SLU. Darious Hall looked like a player in limited time at Arkansas. Romeo Weems is a highly rated recruit. I would expect a grad transfer to help balance out the classes.

With some smart scheduling next year, and development from Butz, Gage, Reed and Coleman-Lands, the Demons could definitely compete for a postseason tournament. If they take a step back though, I think we could definitely expect a change.

That super hipster kid looks like every single person from my high school that ended up choosing depaul.

And nothing like a D1 athlete. I'm sure he's a great kid but even as a walk-on, I was never quite sure what his role on DePaul's team is.

Maybe DePaul is way more selective than we thought.

Wow. That is funny and a deliciously brutal shot.

I see the Fun Police have arrived.

FWIW, not convinced DePaul's season is over.

Yeah, I can't remember the last time I watched a bench as annoying as DePaul's. It seems every year they are a huge pain in the ass. That goggles kid is the cherry on top.

DePaul has been complete dead weight, just holding the conference back, so when they beat a team with Tournament/seeding aspirations and you see the bench acting like a #16 Little Sisters of the Poor seed upsetting #1 Duke... it is just infuriating. Fortunately, I don't think they'll keep St. John's or Seton Hall out of the Dance despite their best efforts to. Good riddance.

That said, I will still root hard for them during OOC next year as I do every year. Unfortunately, judging by the OP, it seems they are losing most of their players. They are probably one of 2-3 teams (including St. John's) who will take a step back next year.

Leito had a great season and wanting to fire him after winning 7 friggin conference games shows you clearly don't know #$%^ about DePaul and the depths of awful they've resided in. This si why they brought him back, hes the only one who has shown the ability to make them at the least competitive. Hell I voted for him for coach of the year!

Losing Coleman-Lands really hurt depaul. They needed that third option to take pressure off strus and cain. Kind of a shame

PX's teammates and coaches love him. HIs job is to bring positivity and energy to the team, and he does his job well. That kid shouldn't give two craps about what any fans from any other schools think of him. You do you, Pantelis. You. Do. You.

Ever think your anger might be a little misdirected?

Calling my shot... DePaul will be in the NCAA Tournament in two years.

Oh it's so brutal but I dated a depaul girl for 2.5 years and went to a CPS school then to the suburb that is the closest to the city, then worked at Groupon in Chicago and all of that almost all of them fit into the "yeah I'd hang with Pantellis" category.

DePaul does nothing for the Big East. Even watching their games on television is more embarrassing than anything else with the lack of fans there. Chicago is a wonderful city but they aren't doing too much to support the team by showing up, BUT DePaul isn't doing too much to make them want to show up. When will it end? Please DePaul. DO SOMETHING. Would love to see them become competitive, but I am not going to sit here and pat them on the back for being a DOORMAT for SO LONG.
