Games like this are what will make it difficult to figure out how many bids the league will get. What you worry about, is that teams that didn't do enough ooc, will stack wins in league play. Not enough to earn a bid themselves, but enough to damage the chances of the teams on, or near the bubble. If you want to see BE teams playing the second weekend, you probably want to see Nova, and Marquette blow through the league with few losses in order to get a good seed. On the other hand, if you don't want the stigma of being a 3 bid league, you probably want to see the Hall, SJU, and either Butler, or Creighton, snag a win or two against the top 2 in order to solidify their position. It was so much easier last year, when all of the contenders took care of business ooc, and there were 3 weak teams to provide much needed victories. It's a bloodbath this year. Not a single powerhouse, nor any cupcakes in the league. Great viewing though!

If that's your theory, I'd take CU off the list of snagging a win or 2 from the top 2. We have lost to both at home this year, with our win % at like +850% at home and -645% on the road. (Too lazy to look up the real numbers. You get the point.)

And I'm not one of the current CU fatalists. With the team we have we could pick up a win or 2 on the road against them. History has a different opinion.

Markus Howard only played three minutes and won't return due to a back injury. Ouch.

Georgetown fans have been bereft the past few years but watching this Marquette game (I know Marcus is out) are the Hoyas figuring out that Patrick Ewing is a good coach? This GT team looks legit.

And Marquette wins without him. Impressive win.

Akinjo is a good player but he straight up cost us a season changing win tonight. no excuse. you give the ball to the best player on your team (Govan) or the guy that has f---ing 24 points (McClung). im beyond livid right now this isn't good for my health

Impressive win by Marquette with Markus Howard. The grad transfer Joseph Chartouny is showing he might not be a good back up at point, as Wojo sat him. Freshmen, Bailey was outstanding! 9 points, 4 blocks.

Yeah, it was another well-coached game by Wojo. He has made remarkable strides as a head coach in the five seasons he has been here. No Howard. No Morrow. Used Sam Hauser as a point-forward for much of the game (as well as Anim). Made enough plays to win down the stretch. This and the Creighton game were both HUGE for the program and season outlook.

It boggled my mind that Ewing didn't utilize more full court pressure with Akinjo, McClung and Pickett. We did not have any skilled ball-handlers on the floor (and that includes Chartouney), and were were having trouble creating separation in the half-court. A lot of tough shots were made by the Hausers and John.

Was also really impressed by Bailey. I think he will be a special player for years to come.

Right, with around 4 minutes left... first Mamu drove the lane into traffic and Young pushed Nzei towards him for a collision and turnover. Then on defense, his weak effort allowed Young to get an offensive board and putback. Then he came down, drove the lane again, and whipped a ridiculous awkward pass towards Nzei which banked off the back of Diallo's head for another turnover. Man what a gift for PC cuz we had just lost a 9 point lead.

Just a lot of unforced errors near the end by Seton Hall. McKnight tried to feed a wide-open Nzei down low but air-mailed his pass into the cheerleaders. McKnight also made a nice baseline move, tried a reverse layup but the ball hit the bottom of the hoop and rocketed back off him for another turnover.

Tough game with some head-scratching plays but PC needed a win so of course i'll take it.
