Weekend Games - Who ya got?

Great win...we clearly stole one today. Govan was scoring at will and whenever we tried to inch away with the lead they hit a back-breaking 3. Thank god we have a kid like Ponds who is among the very best in college hoops. Just plug him in and watch greatness before he's in the NBA Draft. Didn't think G'Town could shoot that well from 3 and was surprised how good Akinjo was...maybe he had the game of his life? He went 10-10 at one point in FT's. Our FT shooting was atrocious. No excuse there.

It's super important for SJ to be top 3 this year in conference. We need a good G'Town too, but this is the year we were supposed to break out nationally. People are noticing nationally and it only helps the conference and MSG. So important that this was a great game right down to the end with a classic rivalry on CBS national! G'Town always gets up for us even if they don't end up having a great year. Same with us. I actually think it hurt us that McLung didn't play. We would've turned him over a ton IMO vs. the other guy who played.

Oh here we go, now every time we beat someone it's because the refs were making up for the seton hall game even though none of those refs were at the SJU/Hall game.

He's just salty, as he hates St. John's, and likely ticked because we beat the Hoyas.

'Hooligan, you assume you'll compete with everyone. It's a long season, fella. We'll see how much Georgetown competes the rest of the way. Besides, Malinowski gave about as much as McClung would've probably given. Malinowski probably wouldn't have been as valuable the past two games with McClung being in the lineup.

I have a feeling when both teams meet again that the Johnnies win going away. Go cry in your beer (or milk).

Really wanted to win a game like that after the Hall disaster. :)

Ponds is incredible.

Stop all the negative towards Georgetown. They got a pretty good team and Coach Ewing is a doing a good job.

Agreed. Gtown has some solid freshmen. Their length really gave us trouble. If LeBlanc and Akinjo stick around they will quickly become stars for years to come

Everyone continues to overlook Seton Hall. SH over DP, 79-70.

WTH are you talking about? I'm noticing more and more people using words that doesn't fit the description, but more so fit their narrative. What negativity that you speak of is going on here? None from where I sit.
