I'm gonna say 3 big games tonight. Hall vs X clearly the headliner. Butler needs to bounce back after a beat down by the Gators and GTown needs to prove they aren't a cellar dweller this year. And last but not least can Nova not look past an improved DePaul team that let some marquee wins slip through their fingers this season.

Going with the home teams tonight, though I'm taking DePaul and Georgetown to cover.

ahhh...if Seton Hall wins the regular season title by 1 game over SJU I'm going to celebrate by making a bowl of popcorn and coming on here to watch Mayhem's meltdown lol.

I think MM meant as partially tongue in cheek (you as well), but nearly all of us SJU fans are pissed at the refs rather than Hall. Still, should be a really fun game when Hall visits MSG. Fans and team will be extra pumped for that one. :)

I'm actually surprised you're underdogs by 3.5 points. Assuming 3 points are given for home court, does Vegas think Xavier is slightly better than Hall? I'd be curious to know what metric they're looking at to arrive at that. Especially given how dominate Hall has been the past month.

Judging strictly by the metrics we're not all that far from SHU. KP has us at 54/67 respectively and we're at home so not a crazy line. That and Vegas has no idea what to make of us, which I can sympathize with

They're probably looking at scoring margin, the same thing that's killing them in NET. SHU doesn't really blow anyone out, has that big loss to Nebraska, and their 4 best wins are by a combined 9 points or something like that. Some would view that as lucky/unconvincing, others would view it as clutch, perhaps it's a combination of both (example being the SJU game - they were lucky to get the ball back but still needed a clutch shot for it to matter).

So I'm really not surprised at being a dog in this one, especially on the road. With all the close games you'd be hard pressed to find many people who would bet on SHU to win and cover a significant spread right now. So you start close to a pick-em then give the home team their points.

I'll be happy if we split the two road games this week.
