They bottled up Howard, and took his points out of the game.
...he went up late, and I was already up there.

Congrats Johnnies, extremely impressive performance. I'm not sure any team in the country could have beaten them tonight.

It's hilarious that some of these posters can act so authoritative and have no idea about the facts. Is this common on all the boards where posters claim to have scouted teams but actually don't have a clue? I know there's a couple Georgetown posters making similar claims on their bird about MU.

Marquette’s defense didn’t look very stout in this one, to be fair.

Just ran into a buzz saw tonight. The big question is going to be whether St Johns can consistently play like this this year or not. Looked like this at times last year and looked terrible other times. If they get consistent this year they are gong to be a tough out for anybody - so much talent on that roster.

That doesn't change that our defense is(was?) top 50 Kenpom.

I don’t think Marquette should be judged on this one. They just happened to run into a pissed off team that just got screwed by refs and they probably wouldn’t have lost to anyone tonight

You really want to complain about calls? Go rewatch SJU's last game and then take a seat and feel bad for crying about the officiating in a 20 point blow out.

Was at the game tonight and it was electric! So psyched for the bounce back win. Marquette will be fine. I think SJU was on a mission. I’m sure the game in Milwaukee will be a lot tougher.

Oh, and Mullinmayhem.....suck it.

Congrats on big win, Johnnie's. You were clearly better team tonight. Very alarming that we now have two blowout losses on the road. You'll be tough to beat if you can continue to play at that high level.

Hell of a follow up to the previous heartbreaker!!

I felt so bad Sunday that I couldn't sleep. Felt awful for all of Monday and most of today. This was exactly what needed to happen, and I honestly didn't expect them to win let alone blow them out.

Very proud of the team- that's going to do wonders for their NET. :)
